Collect less. Explain clearly.

Stage collects only the information needed to review, publish, maintain, and protect project listings.

Information we collect

When you submit or maintain a listing, Stage may collect the project URL, project name, category, descriptions, maker name, optional maker links, accent color, optional public story fields, story badges, and a private contact email. Public listing fields may be shown on Stage if the project is approved.

Stage may also collect update requests, support confirmations, reports, review notes, email delivery status, and admin audit records needed to operate the showcase.

Private contact details

Submitter emails, update-request emails, support confirmation emails, and optional reporter emails are not displayed publicly. They are used for confirmation, review, ownership checks, support verification, abuse prevention, and operational follow-up.

Email confirmations

Stage uses email confirmation links before submissions and update requests enter manual review. Confirmation tokens are stored securely as hashes. Delivery status, resend counts, and delivery errors may be stored so failed emails can be diagnosed.

Submission and update data

Submitted listing details are reviewed manually. Approved listing fields become public, including optional story notes such as why the project was built, who it is for, its current stage, and what support would help. Rejected, pending, or unconfirmed records may be retained for moderation, duplicate prevention, support, and abuse protection.

Support confirmations

If you send a support confirmation, Stage stores the project URL, payment provider, optional amount text, optional contact email, and confirmation details you provide. This is used only to review supporter badges or temporary Encore placement.

Reports

Reports are private and reviewed manually. If you include an email, it is used only to understand or follow up on the report.

Click analytics

Stage records deduplicated outbound click events for admin analytics. These help understand which listings receive interest and whether placements are useful. Public click counts are not shown. Click deduplication may use limited request information such as IP address, date, and browser user agent in hashed or operational form.

Data retention

Stage keeps public listing data while a project remains listed. Private operational records are kept only as long as needed for review, security, abuse prevention, audit history, and maintenance. Unconfirmed or rejected records may be removed or anonymized over time. Reports and support confirmations may be retained while they are useful for safety, moderation, or accounting context.

Data removal requests

Makers can request updates or removal through the project listing actions. Stage may keep limited private records when needed for security, abuse prevention, audit history, or legal/operational reasons.

Third-party services

Stage may use services such as Supabase, Resend, Upstash, Vercel, and Cloudflare Turnstile to host the app, store data, send email, prevent abuse, and operate the showcase.
