Useful work deserves a calm place to be seen.
Stage byAnt is a curated directory of independent apps, developer tools, and maker projects. Explore by category, find something useful, and learn about the people behind it.
Curated, not ranked
Every listing is reviewed by hand. There are no votes, public rankings, comments, or paid Featured placement. Stage is where quiet projects can be heard without becoming a popularity contest.
Made for thoughtful projects
We welcome indie apps, developer tools, useful experiments, open-source projects, local-first software, and small products with a usable public page.
What our review includes
byAnt manually reviews every submitted project before approving its listing. We open the submitted link, check that the site loads, and make a quick check that the app is functional and appears to do what it is intended to do.
This is a brief functionality check. We do not test every feature or perform a full technical, security, or privacy audit. Approval reflects what we observed during that check; apps and their features can change afterward.
Listing details and optional story notes come from makers. If you notice a broken link or inaccurate information, use the report or update links on the project page.
How Stage works
- Makers submit a public project URL, listing details, and optional story notes.
- Stage asks for email confirmation before the project enters review.
- byAnt opens the project and makes a brief functionality check.
- Approved projects receive a public listing page.
- Featured picks are curated based on usefulness, clarity, and craft. They cannot be bought.
- Supporters may receive a badge or temporary Encore visibility, but that is not a ranking, endorsement, or paid Featured spot.
